Privacy and Data Policy

      • User account activity monitoring
        • OMEX asks for some personal information when you create an Account, including your email address and a password, which is used to protect the Users’ accounts from unauthorized access. OMEX may, but is not obligued to, automatically record certain information about the Users’ use of the Service. This may include information such as account activity (e.g., storage usage, number of log-ins, actions taken, frequency and size of data transfers), data displayed or clicked on (e.g., UI elements, links), and other log information (e.g., browser type, IP address, date and time of access, cookie ID, referrer URL). The Users’ behaviors and habits might be tracked for the purpose of service improvement, better fitting the Company’s needs and marketing related activities.
        • OMEX can implement features based on Google Analytics Display Advertising and other user activity analytics services, including but not limited to: Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration, or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. Using the Google Ads Settings, visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads at (hyperlink as of 2014-08-03)
        • OMEX, like many other web services, can use remarketing to advertise online, with Google Analytics and/or other services. Third-party vendors may show your ads on sites across the Internet. OMEX and third-party vendors can use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on Users’ past visits to your website and to report how ad impressions, other uses of ad services, and interactions with these ad impressions and ad services are related to visits to OMEX sites and applications.
      • Access to the User’s PII
        • OMEX may expose the Users’ names and personal data to other Users of the Service, including Customers of the Company, as described in the User’s Manual and help screens. The data may be exposed also to the OMEX staff and subcontractors for the purpose of problem solving, system diagnostics and optimization, assistance and further system development.
      • Access to the Company’s Content
        • Engineers and support staff and subcontractors of the OMEX may also store and have access to the Company’s Content or other information provided to the Service, including, but not limited to, user communications, numerical and textual data, attachments in various media formats and PII. The Company has to ensure that Users will have reviewed the Privacy and Data Policy provided by the OMEX to determine what information may be collected and how it may be used.
      • Access to the Billing Information
        • Any credit card and related billing and payment information that the Company provide to OMEX may be shared by OMEX with companies who work on OMEX’s behalf, such as hosting providers, payment processors and/or credit agencies, solely for the purposes of checking credit, effecting payment to OMEX and servicing your account.
      • Disclosure to 3rd parties
        • OMEX may provide information provided by the Company in response to valid legal process, such as subpoenas, search warrants and court orders, or to establish or exercise its legal rights or defend against legal claims. OMEX shall not be liable for any use or disclosure of such information by such third parties.
      • Data Retention Policy
        • The Service is hosted on distributed servers and all the Content and Users’ PII might be a subject of retention policies of the hosting providers.
